Earl Raymond Pierce of Shady Point, Oklahoma was born March 14, 1935 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Albert and Mary Ruth (Hanson) Pierce and passed away on September 21, 2025 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 90.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters Zula Mae Brown, Janie Gray, Linda Kay Duffel, and Betty Smith; two brothers George Pierce and Buddy Pierce.
Earl lived in the area for many years and was a Veteran of the United States Army. After his military service, he worked as a supervisor on the assembly line at Ford Motor Company before eventually retiring. People in Shady Point knew him as the “lawn mower guy”. Earl enjoyed spending time in his garage, working on all sorts of things. He was mechanically inclined and could fix anything that was broken. His hobbies included fishing and playing bingo. He also loved to sing with his two grandsons, Camden and Cayden. A dedicated family man, Earl was always ready to help his family and neighbors. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and cared for him.
Earl’s graveside service will be at 9:00 a.m., Friday, September 26, 2025 at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas with Brother Charles Hughes officiating. Burial will follow with military honors provided by the Poteau DAV Chapter #63 under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be from Noon until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday; and 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Thursday with the family visiting with friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
