He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beverly Easter; two brothers, Larry and Olen Easter; two sisters, Ethel Swaim and Betty Bloomer; a great-grandson, Kaleb Easter.
Earnest was a longtime resident of the area and a welder. He loved fishing, playing dominoes, dancing, and hugs from all of his great-great-grands. Earnest enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed by all whom loved and knew him. Earnest was a veteran where he served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 7, 2025 at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, Oklahoma with Mr. Randy Mattox officiating with the military honors presented by Poteau DAV Chapter #63. Arrangements are under the care of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Billy Gullick, Braxton Willoughby, Brentley Perry, and Raymond Perry
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Josh Allender, Chase Akin, Nathan Perry, and Brandon Perry
Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday. The family will have visitation with friends on Friday night from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
