 
Viewing and visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, with family greeting friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Effie was born on August 21, 1942, in Superior, Montana, to Viola (Bierwagen) Brennan and Edward Brennan, and passed away on October 3, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to William “Bill” Cox he preceded her in death on July 8, 2013.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tracy Fulps; parents, Edward and Viola Brennan; sister, Carol Brennan; and brothers, Jim Brennan and Tim Brennan.
Effie worked for many years in the Spiro Schools Cafeteria and at the Spiro Veterinary Clinic. She loved playing the slot machines and especially enjoyed supporting her children and grandchildren in all their activities — she was their biggest fan.
She is survived by her sons, Sammie Wayne Cox and Joshua Cox and wife Kelly; grandchildren, Randi Cox, Austyn Marie Jackson and husband Austin, Dalton Neal Fulps and wife Haylee, Brantlee Cox, and Kyndal Cox; great-grandchildren, Madison Edwards, Syndi Roberts, Daxon Fulps, Allison Fulps, Tucker Jackson, and Finley Jackson; son-in-law, Derek Fulps; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.
