Elizabeth Ann Whisman, 75 of Panama, Oklahoma, was born on October 29, 1948 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Olive June (Dodd) and Tandy Lee Shaw and passed away on January 20, 2024 in Panama, Oklahoma.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Lee Shaw; son, Robert David Green; daughter, Teresa June Stuckey; sister, Marie Thomas. In younger years Elizabeth worked in retail in Guthrie. She was a volunteer with the civic organizations such as Kiwanis and Historical Guthrie-ESA. In 2003, she moved to this area to be closer to her family. Elizabeth worked as a Social Service Activity Director and was an active member of the Southside Baptist Church in Poteau, Oklahoma. Her grandkids and great-grandkids meant the world to her, and she strived every day to serve the Lord Jesus Christ.
Survivors include her spouse, Cecil Jerry Edens; son-in-law, Van Stuckey; brother-in-law, Martin Thomas; sister-in-law, Darlene Shaw; grandchildren, Brandi Amen and husband Brandon, Dallas Stuckey and wife Courtney; great grandchildren; Alexis, Brayden, Kadence, Luke, Amen, MayBelle, Ryker, Tate, Willow, Jasper; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.
Cremation is under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
