The family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the funeral home. Viewing will be held Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Ellen was born on May 25, 1951, in Tulare, California, to Eva (Hampton) Hicks and Alvin Hicks. She passed away on August 21, 2026, in Harrah, Oklahoma, at the age of 75.
She was married to Gordon “Jeff” Livermore, who preceded her in death on October 22, 1999. Ellen was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Alvis Hicks and Allen Hicks; and sister, Wanda Sanchez.
Ellen spent many years serving her community as a dispatcher, working for the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Department, Pocola Police Department, and Poteau Police Department. Her work reflected her willingness to help others and be there when people needed her most.
A woman of strong faith, Ellen was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Muldrow. She loved singing Christian songs and worshiping the Lord. She was also a devoted Oklahoma Sooners fan and enjoyed cheering on her team. Ellen will especially be remembered for her joyful spirit. She was always happy, always smiling, and had a way of sharing that happiness with those around her.
Survivors include her sons, Gordon Livermore and wife Jenane, Timothy Rice and wife Rene, and Michael Livermore and wife Camy; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Alma Curl and Faye Kirkley; brothers, Edmond Hicks and wife Shirley and Fred Hicks and wife Carol; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and other loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Hayden Livermore, Jessie Livermore, Jeremy Lovell, Keaton Morris, David Hope, and Jason Crossno.
