Erma was born on January 20, 1938 in Cameron, Ok to Janie L. (Hobson) Tucker and William Nelson Tucker and passed away on June 8, 2023 in Poteau, Oklahoma. She was married to Leo D. Sulivant on January 20, 1956 and had 3 children. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Louise Camp Finton, and Ocie Lucille Myers; brothers, Travis, Harrell, Bill, and Marvin Tucker.

Erma was employed as a telephone operator for 21 years in Poteau, Oklahoma. She worked for Holt Telephone Company which later became known as Alltel. She was the second operator to be hired and was known as operator number 2. She made many lifelong friends during her employment there. As more operators were hired, she gained the nickname “Mo” which stuck for the rest of her life. Erma loved gathering at her home with friends and family to host swimming pool parties and cook outs. All she wanted was for everyone to enjoy visiting with each other, eating plenty of food, and having a fun time.

She was a very loving mother to her three children as well as all their friends. She was known in the neighborhood as the “cool mom” who liked rock and roll music. She opened her home to those in need ensuring that they always had a place to sleep and eat. She always cooked enough food to share just in case someone else stopped by. She instilled these traits in her children.

The family would like to thank Dr. Anand, Dr. Baig, Dr. Barber and staff at Mercy Hospital, Compassion Home Health, and Heart of Hospice for their loving care.
