Eva was born on June 9, 1936, in Buck Creek, Oklahoma, to Laura (Wiles) Thomas and Billy Thomas. She married the love of her life, Harold Morgan, on April 6, 1957, in Panama, Oklahoma. They shared 66 wonderful years together before his passing on August 17, 2023. Their marriage was a true example of devotion, partnership, and faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; her son, Steve Morgan; her sisters Pauline Tackett, Mary Stubblefield, Bertha Boitel, Ocie Brown, and Barbara Dolph; and her brothers Calvin Thomas and Gerald Thomas.
Eva was a woman of deep faith and a dedicated servant of the Lord. She led her husband to Christ, taught Sunday School, and guided adult Bible studies. Her family remembers her as a constant source of encouragement—always ready with the perfect words of advice, a home-cooked meal, a prayer, or a warm smile. She enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching The Price Is Right and Wheel of Fortune, and laughing and joking with her family. Her presence could brighten any room, and her joy was truly contagious.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Eva is survived by her daughters, Gayla Stacy and Michelle Morgan; her grandchildren, Kara Powers and husband Ryan, Mikka Welker and husband Matthew, Chase Smith and wife Nickie, and Ashley Alexander and husband Blake; and her great-grandchildren Hunter, Elezibeth, Brayle, Jet, Cooper, Jade, Scarlet, Titus, Sawyer, Lillian, Seth, Ira, Callie, Greyson, and Everly.
