Evelyn Delene Drury of Heavener, Oklahoma was born April 24, 1943 in Howe, Oklahoma to Lester and Betty (Berry) Earls and passed away August 26, 2020 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 77.

She is survived by:

Two sons: Ed Drury of Heavener, Oklahoma Tony Drury and wife Tina of Wister, Oklahoma

Three sisters: Linda Mattox of Monroe, Oklahoma Carolyn Cagle and husband Bob of Howe, Oklahoma Patsy Walker of Poteau, Oklahoma

Seven grandchildren: Ryan Leatherwood, Josh Drury, Shawn Drury, Jessica Drury, Cody Drury, Tyler Phillips, and Cassidy Phillips

Six great-grandchildren

Numerous other relatives and host of friends

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Helen Earls; and two brothers, Lee Earls and Bill Earls. Evelyn was a life-long resident of the area, a member of the Howe First Assembly of God, and a retired middle school teacher; where she taught for many years at Pansy Kid Middle School in Poteau. Evelyn was full of life and loved to laugh. She also loved to spend time with her family, collect antiques, especially old milk glasses, travel to Branson, and drink her Diet Coke. Evelyn will be missed by all who knew her.

Private family service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 31, 2020 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Andre Ming and Reverend Josh Drury officiating. Burial will follow in Howe Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be: Her Family

Viewing will be from Noon until 6:00 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, with the family visiting with friends from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
