Frank Leroy Bell , 78, of Pocola, Oklahoma, passed away on August 11, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born on October 1, 1946, in Booneville, Arkansas, to John Ed Bell and Edna (Elmore) Bell.
Frank was a devoted family man, a skilled mechanic, and a respected business owner. As the proud owner and operator of Bell Garage, he was known not only for his mechanical expertise but also for the warmth and generosity he shared with everyone he met. Working side by side with his sons and grandchildren Frank’s garage became more than a workplace, it was a place of mentorship, laughter, and lifelong memories.
In his younger years, Frank enjoyed the thrill and camaraderie of team roping, a reflection of his deep roots in country living and community spirit. Later in life, he found his greatest happiness in time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Whether he was chasing them around the yard, taking them for rides in his beloved blue truck, swinging with them, or cheering them on at ball games, Frank’s love for his family was evident in every moment.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Pansy Elaine Bell, and his parents, John Ed and Edna Bell.
Frank is survived by his two sons, Lance Bell and wife Liz, and John Bell and wife Danielle; grandchildren, Leighanne Davis, Jessica Burns and husband Tyler, Halley Jeffcoat, and Gracey Sanders and husband Marco; and great-grandchildren, Blake Davis, Austin Collins, Lexi Burns, Jase Burns, Addalyn Jeffcoat, Stonie Sanders, Eli Burns, Oakley Jeffcoat, and Emberlyn Jeffcoat. He is also survived by his brothers, Robert Bell and wife Faye, and David Bell and wife Julia.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Bell Cemetery in Washburn, Arkansas, with Kane Riggs officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
