Fred A. Carter of Spiro, Oklahoma was born July 27, 1936 in Cameron, Oklahoma to Albert and Lena (Baine) Carter, and passed away December 4, 2018 in Spiro, Oklahoma at the age of 82.


He is survived by his wife Lillie Carter of the home, one son; Timothy Carter of Spiro, Oklahoma, four daughters; Gail Carter of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Karen Stacy and Todd of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Brenda Clark and Charlie of Spiro, Oklahoma, Tina Masterson and Gary Don of Spiro, Oklahoma, three brothers; Dan Carter of Pocola, Oklahoma, Larry Carter of Cameron, Oklahoma, Robert Carter of Spiro, Oklahoma, three sisters; Lorene Sehorn of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Flossie Cheline of Cameron, Oklahoma, Juanita Crow of Arkoma, Oklahoma, four grandsons; Drew Clark of Spiro, Oklahoma, Ray Easley of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Logan and Wyatt Carter of Spiro, Oklahoma, one great granddaughter, Maya Jaye Easley of Fayetteville, Arkansas, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.


Fred was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Marvin Carter, three sisters; Judean Tackett, Dortha Pound, Mary Lou Craig, and a grandson Jason Baxter. He loved to fish and hunt. Fred was a master gardener producing many fruits and vegetables, especially his watermelons.


Memorial Services will be 10:00 am Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Victory Worship Center in Spiro, Oklahoma with Reverend Bryan Fouts officiating.


Family has requested instead of flower or plants please make a donation to the charity or church of your choice.


Cremation is under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.
