Funeral services for Freddie Cooper, 80, of Hammond, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro with Reverend Howard Jeffery officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Freddie was born on March 12, 1946, in Rockdale to Mary (Judd) Cooper and Sullivan Cooper. He passed away on May 17, 2026, in Hammond. He was united in marriage to Caroline Cooper, who preceded him in death on June 30., 2022.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Freddie Cooper, Jr., Johnny Sullivan Cooper, and Harry Michael Cooper; his daughter, Heavenly Angel Cooper; and his brother, Jackie Cooper.

Freddie loved fishing and treasured every moment spent with his family. Wherever his family was, that was where he wanted to be. He especially adored his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to his life.

Survivors include his daughter, Jamie Lou Cooper and husband Sullivan; his son, Bryant Rodell Cooper; grandchildren, Chella Cooper and husband Seth Lee, Alana Cooper, Tony Cooper and wife Edie, and Shane Cooper and wife Destiny; great-grandchildren, Serenity, Graceland, Faith, Zane, Ester, John Woodland, Meliodas, and John Maverick; sisters, Irene Boggs and Anita Kay Johnson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.

Pallbearers will be Sullivan Cooper, Shane Cooper, Bryan Stanley, Cody Harrison, and Jackie Cooper.
