Mr. Chester was a proud Vietnam Veteran who was honored with a Quilt of Valor. He enjoyed singing karaoke and had a deep love for gospel music, especially Elvis Presley. Above all, he cherished his family and dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brothers, John Chester, Joe Chester, and Richard Chester.
Survivors include his daughter, George Ann Noe and husband Ross R. of Fort Smith, Arkansas; grandchildren, Shanda Jones and Christie Lee; and great-grandchildren, Holden Lee, Carter Lee, and Parker Spahn.
A Gathering of Friends and Family for George Harold Chester, 89, of Sallisaw, Oklahoma, will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, April 13, 2026 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma.
