Gerald Denny Moreton of Spiro, Oklahoma was born on April 30, 1930 to Fred and Maythel (Kidd) Moreton in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and passed away on January 12, 2017 in Spiro, Oklahoma at the age of 86 years.


Gerald is survived by two daughters, Annetta Tinsman and husband Dr. Tom Tinsman of Hackett, Arkansas, and Cynthia Moreton and spouse Dr. Julia Brazelton of St. Lucie, Florida; three grandchildren, Presten Anglen of Spiro, Oklahoma, Josh Russell of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Eric Russell of Webb City, Missouri; and six great grandchildren; one sister, Norma Jean Neve of Spiro, Oklahoma; and one brother, Ronnie Moreton of Fort Smith, Arkansas.


Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Kris Anglen; and his brother Morris Moreton. He served in the Navy during the Korean War and WWII, then he later retired as a truck driver.


Family will hold services at a later date.

 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care and direction of Mallory Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.
