Gladys Marie Shoate of Spiro, Oklahoma was born November 23, 1950, to Johnny and Brazola (Gay) Johnson and passed away September 08, 2019 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 68.
Gladys is survived by her husband Leroy Shoate of the home, a daughter Kaamilya and son-in-law Andrew Holmes, along with three grandchildren Kobe, Aundrea, and Braelyn Holmes of Alma, brothers Dallas Johnson and wife Susan, Charles Johnson and wife Bobbie Jo, Thurman Johnson, Ernest Johnson, and Doyle Johnson, a sister Alice Johnson as well as sister-in-law Barbara Holmes and husband John, and brother -in-law Cleo Shoate as well as a host of other family, friends and loved ones.
Gladys is preceded in death by her parents, a brother Johnny Johnson, and sisters Bessie Manley and Beatrice Chandler.
Service will be 11am Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Union Missionary Baptist Church Pocola, Oklahoma with Reverend Dr. Marvin L. Thompson officiating.
Burial will follow at Fort Coffee Cemetery, Fort Coffee, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.
