Harlon was born on September 18, 1943, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Mildred (Lovell) Easton and Alvin Easton, and passed away on October 18, 2025, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He married the love of his life, Sharon Easton, on May 2, 1964, in Poteau, Oklahoma.
Known affectionately as Uncle Harley to his family, Harlon was the heart of every gathering. His home was a favorite spot for nieces and nephews, who spent countless summers swimming in his pool and enjoying family time. To his family, Papa was the patriarch—always organizing vacations, hosting holidays, and ensuring everyone felt welcome.
Harlon was a jokester with a generous spirit and a zest for life. Known as Mr. Fix-It, he could repair just about anything—and if he couldn’t, it was truly beyond repair. Throughout his career, he worked in the foundries, where he was responsible for making motor covers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred and Alvin Easton.
Harlon is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Sharon Easton; son, Harlon Dewayne Easton; grandson, Mason Thompson; sisters, Arlene LeMaster and Carol Baker; brother, Aven Easton and wife Donna; honorary daughter, Crissy Thompson; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and many other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Lee LeMaster, Josh Goodwin, James Thompson, Trevor Sutcliffe, Tony Jones, and Steven Timmons. Honorary Pallbearer will be Mason Thompson.
