Harold Roden, age 88, of Wister, OK passed away February 25, 2023, in Wister, OK. Harold was born in Valliant, OK to Fred and Mary Francis Roden. He was Preceded in death by his two brothers, three sisters, and one grandson, Kyle White.
Harold is survived by his wife, Wanda Lee; two daughters Shannon Roden of Shawnee, OK, and Tamara Smith and husband Lance of Wister, OK; Granddaughter Elizabeth Wann and husband Josh of Wister, OK; 4 Great- Grandchildren Cole, Jalynn, Jolee, and Parker Wann; and a host of loved ones, family, and friends.
Harold Served in the United States Air Force from 1957-1961 at the Foster Air Force Base in Victoria, TX.
He was loved unconditionally and will leave a lasting mark on everyone he met.
Pallbearers will be Lance Smith, Josh Wann, Paul Cole, Mark Chronister, Jeff Chronister, Matt Chronister, Mike Salgado, and Brock Powers.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Joe Powers, Cole Wann, Bill Dalhem, Jeff Hale, Carl Grayson, and Kyle Dennis.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, February 28, 2023 at First Baptist Church in Wister, Oklahoma with Reverend Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at Ellis Chapel Cemetery in Wister, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Viewing and Visitation Monday February 27, 2023 from 9am - 8pm with family greeting friends from 6pm - 8pm at the funeral home.
