Memorial services for Harril Leshel Luman, 91, will be at Grace Manor Chapel on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 11:00am.

Harril was born in the Glendale area in Oklahoma on October 27, 1930 to James Zadoc Luman and Alice Irene Ollar Luman and passed away in Tulsa, Ok on January 29, 2022. He was a longtime resident of Wister, Oklahoma with many of his 10 siblings in the area. He was born during the Great Depression and remembered hard times recalling the thought that they didn’t have much, but they had love. He enjoyed spending time in the backyard with family and fondly recalled whittling away the afternoons together.

He played on his high school basketball team for which he was also Team Caption, and grew his love for the game. He carried that love with him through his life and was an avid basketball enthusiast with some of his favorite NBA teams being Oklahoma Thunder, Golden State Warriors and the Brooklyn Nets.

Harril also joined his local National Guard.

When Harril left home he went to Kansas City, Missouri where he worked at a full service gas station until he went to work for Nashua Mobile Home Manufacturing Co. He was quickly promoted to Production Manager because of his dedication and work ethic. He often sent money home to his parents and younger siblings to help out. He retired after a long career with Nashua and moved back to Wister where he often did odd jobs for several more years.

Harril had a love and passion for gardening with his exceptional green thumb for almost everything he grew, he excelled with his tomatoes and watermelon and was occasionally featured in the local papers.

Harril was known as a gentle giant of a man, with a big heart and love for young children and animals and was loved by all who knew him. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Harril was a loving son, father, grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend. He will be missed by all that knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents…. James and Alice Ollar Luman and his 10 siblings. May he rest in Eternal Peace.
