Funeral Service for Howard Grover Adkins, 79 of will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Jeff Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
He was born on March 1, 1943 in St. Charles, Virgina to Myrtle (Green) Adkins and George Adkins and passed away on February 8, 2023 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was married to Suzie Adkins on October 30, 1982 in Richardson, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, and infant sister.
Survivors include his wife, Suzie Adkins; sons, Samuel Adkins, Howard Adkins, George "Joe" Adkins; daughter, Tammy Shumate; 7 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Cecil Adkins; numerous other relatives, and loved ones.
