Funeral Service for Jackie Vernon Niblett, 70 of Cameron, Oklahoma will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Brother John McDonald officiating. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma. Viewing and visitation will be viewing hours will be Monday 8:30am-7:30pm with the family visiting with friends from 5pm-7pm on Monday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Shelby Plummer, Luke McDonald, Casey James, Dylan McDonald, Ralph Harrison, and James Harrison. Honorary Pallbearers will be His Grandchildren.
He was born on August 24, 1953 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Lela (Potter) and Jess Niblett and passed away on May 10, 2024 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Carolyn McDonald on December 2, 1980 in Arkoma, Oklahoma. Jackie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn (McDonald) Niblett; an infant sister, Betty Niblett; and two brothers, Bob and Tommy Niblett. Jackie worked at Rheem Manufacturing for over 35 years, enjoyed hunting and fishing but he mostly enjoyed his family which he loved dearly.
Survivors include his son, Eric McDonald and wife Stephanie; daughter, Macee Lankford and husband Tyler; sisters, Linda Harrison and husband Jimmy, Ruth Ann Beshers; brother, Joe Niblett; grandchildren, Brenton, Ashlynn, Schyler, and Ryder McDonald, Colton and Avah Lankford.
