Funeral service for James Grady King of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 2:00pm on Friday, March 12, 2021 at the Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Vernon Stone officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.
James was born on January 18, 1938 in Spiro, Oklahoma to Hallie Burton and Ida (Schwarz) King passed away on March 8, 2021 in Spiro, Oklahoma at the age of 83. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Carolyn Sue (Boitel) King; his sister, Clara Word; and three brothers, Ralph “Buddy” King, Leonard “Gene” King, and L.M. “Mitchell” King.
Survivors include his daughter, Lagatha Been and husband Jeff, his son, Michael King; grandchildren, Nathan Coon, Forrest Been, and Shelby Robinett; two great grandchildren, Creek Been and Beau Been; and numerous other relatives and loved ones. James enjoyed the outdoors and especially fishing, hunting, and riding four wheelers. Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
Viewing will be 9:00am – 7:00pm Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the funeral home with the family greeting friends from 5:00pm – 7:00 pm Thursday.
