James Henry Sullivan, 63, passed away on September 11, 2025, at his home in Poteau, Oklahoma with his family by his side. James was born on September 3, 1962, in Newark, Ohio to parents Arthur and June (Baker) Sullivan. James spent 10 years in the United States Air Force, proudly serving his country. James was a member of the local DAV #63 of Poteau. James loved to travel and go dancing every time life provided the chance. He was loved by his family and all that knew him, and he will be dearly missed by all.
James was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Betty Kelley.
James is survived by his wife Cynthia of the home, his daughter Erica Cobb and husband Alex of Windfall, Indiana, his stepchildren Jennifer Bowles and husband Marcus of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Jeremy Roller and wife Jackie of Springdale, Arkansas, and Julie Brown and husband William of Fort Smith, Arkansas, his grandchildren Michelle Brown, Jerry Brown, and Kaya Brown, and his sister Sina Sullivan and husband Daryl Chrisy of Williamsburg, Kentucky, along with other relatives and loved ones.
The Celebration of Life Services for James will be held privately by his family at a later date.
