Funeral Service for James "Jim" Adams, 83 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Spiro, Oklahoma with Reverend James Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Spiro City Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma. The family has requested that masks be worn at visitation and at the funeral.

He was born on April 16, 1937 in Panama, Oklahoma to Wila Dean (Fox) Adams and Chester Adams and passed away on January 19, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.  He was married to Lois A. (Glenn) Adams on June 18, 1960 in Cameron, Oklahoma. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Kimberly Lynn Adams; sister, Velda Brown and husband Harold. Jims love for tinkering and working on things began when he was just a boy, building model cars, and continued throughout his life. He loved gardening, working puzzles, and watching “Wheel of Fortune", and “This old House". Jim was a member of the Spiro First Baptist Church where he also spent many hours working at the church for whatever was needed. Jim was well known in his community as Mr. Adams the local "TV repair man".

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Lois Adams of the home; son, Mike Adams of Spiro, Oklahoma; daughter, JoAnn Tollison and husband Kenny of Fort Smith, Arkansas; grandchildren, Amanda Davis and husband Andrew of Van Buren, Arkansas, Adam Richard and wife Khristy of Burmington, Washington; great grandchildren, Carver Hardwick, Austyn Cait Davis, Rylan Richard, Landon Richard; sister-in-law, Bea Watts of Fort Smith, Arkansas; nephews, Harold Brown and wife Debra of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Frank Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Steven Brown of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Roger Watts and wife Cindy of New Blaine, Arkansas, many other friends, and loved ones.

Viewing will be Friday, January 22, 2021 from 9:00 am -8:00pm. The family will greet friends from 6:00pm- 8:00pm at the funeral home.
