A memorial service for James “Jimmy” Davis, Sr. 73 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 1pm on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Harvest Church in Stigler.
Viewing will be held on Saturday from 3:00pm-6:00pm at the Mallory-Martin Chapel in Spiro, Oklahoma. Cremation services are under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro.
Jimmy was born on June 27, 1949 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Virginia Mae (Haworth) and Carlton Lee Davis and passed away on March 11, 2023 in Spiro, Oklahoma. He was married Carolyn Keck on April 6, 1968 in Ozark, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, James “Jim” Davis, Jr; sisters, Fracis Webster, Dorothy Grumet.
He graduated from Will Rogers High School in Tulsa and then continued his education in electrician school. Jimmy had many jobs throughout his life including helping his wife while serving as ministers in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Hawaii, he was also a driver for May’s Drug Store, and Managed Lovell Building Center in Lovell, Wyoming. Jimmy was a member of Harvest Church in Stigler, Oklahoma, and loved his family dearly.
Survivors include his wife Carolyn Davis; son, Randy Davis; grandchildren, Zach, Brandy, Jessica, Caitlyn, Schuylar, J.J. and Hunter; numerous great grandchildren, sisters, Billie Roper and husband Gene and Louise Freeman; Carl Davis and wife Margie and Jerry Davis and wife Libby; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family, and loved ones.
