James “Joe” Niblett, 77, of Cameron, Oklahoma, passed away on February 6, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
James was born on August 13, 1948, in Cameron, Oklahoma, to Lela (Potter) Niblett and Jess James Niblett.
James proudly served his country as a Vietnam Veteran. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was the rock of his family—strong, dependable, and deeply loved. His presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Linda Niblett; children, Harold Wilson Jr. and Ginger Wilson; granddaughter, Laikland McGowan; sister, Betty Niblett; and brothers, Bob, Tommy, and Jack Niblett.
Survivors include his daughter, Terry Cody of Cameron, Oklahoma; son, William Langdell Jr. of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Amber Wassinger, Chris Wilson, Colten Langdell, Austin Johnson, Caleb Langdell, Serinity Hanna, Carlee Elliott, Gabriel Cody, Samuel Cody, Roger Cody III, Summer Cody, Jayden Cody, Rayven Gardner, Serenity Langdell, Matthew Langdell, Darla Gravitt and Melissa Rogers; fifteen great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruth Ann Beshers and Linda Harrison.
Pallbearers will be Billy Langdell, Colten Langdell, Caleb Langdell, Chris Wilson, Gabriel Cody and Daniel Wassinger.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
