James Richard “Jimmy” Roberts of Heavener, Oklahoma (formerly of Panama, Oklahoma) was born November 22, 1961 in Poteau, Oklahoma to Wayne and Margie (Crenshaw) Roberts and passed away April 12, 2021 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 59.
He is survived by:

Jennifer French and husband Jake of Cameron, Oklahoma
Alisha Springwater and husband Jake of Roland, Oklahoma
One son:
Shane Johnson and wife Lee of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Two sisters:
Melva Kirkley and husband Bob of Stigler, Oklahoma
Teresa Israel of Poteau, Oklahoma
One brother:
Darrell Roberts and wife Debbie of Hodgen, Oklahoma
12 grandchildren:

Chance Timms and Shadie
Tustin Timms

He was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Margie Roberts; the mother of his children, Lisa Benson Roberts; and one brother, Ronald Eugene Roberts.
Jimmy was a longtime resident of the area and a rancher. He loved fishing, watching all sporting events especially the ones where his grandchildren where in, WWE wrestling, and helping people when in need. Jimmy enjoyed working with his brother, Darrell on the farm. He loved spending time with his family and friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, uncle, cousin, and friend. He will be dearly missed by all whom loved and knew him.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Kane Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be from Noon until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, 9:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Friday, and 9:00 a.m. until service time Saturday. The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons: Zach Timms, Chance Timms, Tustin Timms, Parker Cooper, Jett Hetherington, and Cash Springwater.
