Funeral Service for Janice Monks, 84 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at First Baptist in Panama, Oklahoma with Larry Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Panama, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Janice was born on July 7, 1938 in Spiro, Oklahoma to Vermelle (Munn) Gill and Frank Gill and passed away on March 20, 2023 in Spiro, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Jacobs; husband, Alfred Monks; son, Ronny Monks; sister, Doris Nummy; granddaughter, Debbie McGrath.
Survivors include her children, Jeff Jacobs, Jennifer Maddox, Al Monks, Jr and Wife Mary, Debbie Janway and husband Johnny; grandchildren, Matthew Johnson, Jason Cloud, Matthew Cogburn, Al Monks, Jeffery Monks, Misty Monks, Natasha Hoch, Jason Parker, Johnny Monks; numerous great grandchildren; brother, David Gill and wife Geri; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Jason Cloud, Jeff Monks, Al Monks, Matthew Johnson, Jeremy Harrison, Scott Harrison, Matthew Cogburn, and Jeff Jacobs.
Open Visitation will be Friday, March 24, 2023 from 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM.
