Jeff Franklin LeFlore, Sr. of Forrester, Oklahoma was born January 28, 1935 in LeFlore, Oklahoma to Wilmond and Lillie (Hiatt) LeFlore and passed away January 9, 2017 in Heavener, Oklahoma at the age of 81.


He is survived by:

Three daughters:
Sandra Munch and Scott Fondrliak of Talihina, Oklahoma
Norma Lusk of Heavener, Oklahoma
Della Dobbs and husband Russell of LeFlore, Oklahoma

Six sons:
Carsilee LeFlore and wife Shirlene of Heavener, Oklahoma
Franklin LeFlore and wife Brenda of Wister, Oklahoma
Mark LeFlore and wife Teresa of Sundance, Wyoming
Norman LeFlore of Heavener, Oklahoma
Jeff LeFlore, Jr. and wife Amber of Heavener, Oklahoma
Carroll LeFlore of Heavener, Oklahoma

Granddaughter they raised:
Robin (LeFlore) Hoxit and husband Scott of Heavener, Oklahoma

Grandson they raised:
Christopher LeFlore and wife Jess of Heavener, Oklahoma

One brother:
Lynn LeFlore and wife Carolyn of Heavener, Oklahoma

29 grandchildren

45 great-grandchildren

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.


He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Della M. LeFlore; one daughter, Donna Kay Nelson; seven brothers and sisters. Jeff was a life-long resident of the area, a member of the Choctaw Nation, and was of the non-denominational faith. Jeff is retired from the U.S. Army, a Choctaw veteran of the Korean/Japan Conflict.


He was a father, brother, grandfather, uncle, great-grandfather, and friend. Jeff was a great fisherman, hunter, and provider for his family and all. He was proud of his service for his country.


Jeff was a very caring, loving, and giving man with a good heart. He never met a stranger, and he loved to teach his little tricks of hunting and fishing. He taught his sons, daughters, and grandchildren all his trades.


Jeff was a jokester and one heck of a story teller to make people laugh. He loved life, all his children and family. Jeff loved Della, his wife that there are no words that can describe. They were together, inseparable always for 59 years.


Jeff worked at the City of Heavener and retired from there. He helped so many people throughout his life. Jeff raised his children to respect all and gave his heart, which was so big. He had enough love to go around for everyone. He was proud of his service for his country and proudly wore it.



Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Charley Scott officiating.


Burial will follow in the LeFlore Family Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.



Pallbearers will be: Jeff LeFlore, Jr., Carroll LeFlore, Norman LeFlore, Carsilee LeFlore, Bobbie LeFlore, and Mike LeFlore.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Frankie LeFlore, Chris LeFlore, Brian Dale LeFlore, J.D. LeFlore, Carroll Clayton LeFlore, Jr., Tony Dodd, Russell Dobbs, Gus Williams, Garland Dean Nelson, and Carroll Smallwood.



Viewing will be 4:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m., Tuesday and 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday.
