The family will greet friends on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Public viewing will be Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Jerald was born on January 6, 1943, in Spiro, Oklahoma, to Ruby (Camp) Ortlieb and Allen Ortlieb, and passed away on December 8, 2025, in Spiro, Oklahoma. He married the love of his life, Theresa Thompson, on August 6, 1965, in Spiro. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Maxine Dunahoo; and his brother, Forrester Ortlieb.
Jerald was a proud Veteran of the United States Army. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and squirrel hunting. He enjoyed tending to his chickens, camping, and spending time surrounded by nature. In recent years, he took great joy in “porch sitting,” watching the sun rise and set, and admiring God’s creations in the skyline and clouds.
Above all, Jerald was a devoted family man. He never met a stranger and had a gift for making people laugh. Anyone who spoke with him was sure to hear a joke—he loved bringing joy to others.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Ortlieb; son, Curtis Ortlieb and wife Amy; daughter, Angela Rinke and husband Michael; grandchildren, Seth Rinke and wife Stephanie, Jacob Ortlieb and fiancée Elisha, and Samuel Ortlieb; great-granddaughter, Isabella Rinke; sister, Jean Rhodes and husband Raymond; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.
Pallbearers will be Curtis Ortlieb, Michael Rinke, Seth Rinke, Jacob Ortlieb, Samuel Ortlieb, and Alan Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond Rhodes and Steve Myers.
