Jerry N. Lewis, 74, of Poteau, Oklahoma, passed away on October 21, 2025, in Poteau. He was born on September 17, 1951, in Fillmore, California, to Julius and Dorse (Hennesey) Lewis. Jerry worked many years for Carl Albert State College. Jerry had a lifelong passion for working with his hands, especially when it came to repairing small engines. He found great joy in tinkering and fixing things, but above all, he cherished the time spent with his beloved puppy, Cosmo. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Julius and Dorse Lewis.
Jerry is survived by his faithful puppy companion, Cosmo, of the home; his sister, Marylin Ponce of California; and his special friends, Jana and Paul Pickle of Poteau, Oklahoma, along with many other loved ones and beloved friends.
A Celebration of Life for Jerry will be held at 10am – Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at the Poteau Church of Christ 20690 292nd St, Poteau, Oklahoma with Brother Steve Breedlove officiating and private burial to follow.
Jerry will be remembered for his kind heart, his love of simple pleasures, and the joy he brought to those around him.
