Jerry W. Childress, Sr, of Spiro, Oklahoma, was born October 31, 1949 in Pocola, Oklahoma to Louis and Ollie (Poole) Childress, and passed away May 6, 2018 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 68.
He was survived by his sons; Jerry Childress, Jr. and wife Ashley of Fort Smith, Arkansas, A.J. Childress and wife Hailey of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Terry Wayne Childress of Fort Smith, Arkansas.
grandchildren; Jayden, Haven, Jackson, and Addison Childress, sisters; Carol Goins of Liberty, Oklahoma, Ruth Hartsfield of Hackett, Arkansas, Judy Smith of Cameron, Oklahoma, Pam Childress of Pocola, Oklahoma, Patty Childress of Spiro, Oklahoma, brothers; Danny Childress of Muldrow, Oklahoma, Eddie Childress of Pocola, Oklahoma, and Junior Childress of Bonanza, Arkansas.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Edith Jones, two brothers; David Childress and Tonkey Childress.
The Family will hold Graveside services will be 10:00 am Friday, May 11, 2018 at New Hope Cemetery with Mr. Jamie Suter officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Spiro, Oklahoma.
