Jerry Wayne Hopkins SR., 64, of Shady Point, OK passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2018 in Sallisaw, OK. Jerry was born June 26, 1954 in Ft. Smith, AR to Clifford & Lucile (Sweeten) Hopkins. He was preceded in death by his parents as well as his step parents, Geneva Hopkins & Jim Porter; and sister, Valerie Rice.
Survivors include his wife Elizabeth Kay of the home (Saturday would have been their 42nd anniversary); sons & daughters in law, Jerry Jr. & Rhonda, Johnny & Brenda of Shady Point, OK; 4 grandchildren, Alyssa, Hunter, Brendee Jo & Colton ; 3 sisters, Vickie Davis of Hot Springs, AR, Debi Ketten of Ft. Smith, AR, Patricia Hopkins of Poteau, OK; 5 brothers, Don of Shady Point, Randy of Poteau, Bruce of Shady Point, Ricky of Ft. Smith, AR, Jimmy Porter of Lebanon, MO; mother in law “Maw”, Mary Elmore of Shady Point, OK; his precious dog, Chloe; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm Sunday, December 23, 2018 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Danny Southerland officiating.
The family will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 5-7 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
