Dirk was a talented jeweler whose passion for his craft spanned his entire life. As a skilled artist, he became renowned for his ability to create intricate wax molds and exquisite jewelry pieces, turning his profession into an art form. His talent and dedication earned him the admiration of many, and his work will live on in the beautiful pieces he created.
He was a devoted father who not only nurtured his own children but also took great joy in helping raise many neighborhood children, providing wisdom, guidance, and love to those who crossed his path.
Dirk was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Lee Hinson, his grandparents, Emmit Ray McCarthy and Dolly Dimples Hamrick, and his brother Justin Hinson.
Dirk is survived by his loving wife, Mary Hinson, whom he married 32 years ago after meeting her at the jewelry store. Together, they formed a beautiful family and home filled with love. He is also survived by his children: Daniel Lee Hinson, Jimmy Dale Hinson, Andrew Posekany, Belinda Hogan, and Jesse Hinson, Mother Joyce Hinson- Goodner, as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him great joy.
In addition, he leaves behind his siblings: Eric Hinson, Shawn Hinson, Breck Hinson, and Kristy Hinson-McConnell, along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends who will miss him dearly.
A Memorial Service for Dirk Hinson will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Calhoun Baptist Church in Calhoun, Oklahoma, with Reverend Steve Hughes officiating.
