John Blane Spurgin, 85, of Shady Point, OK passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021 at his home. John was born December 26, 1935 in Mena, AR to Walter John & Connie (Sikes) Spurgin. He was a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Darrel Ray Spurgin.
Survivors include his wife Addilee; daughter & son in law, Jan & David Scott of Van Buren, AR; sisters & brothers in law, Waletta Shepak of Bakersfield, CA, Madge & Larry Pugh of Greenwood, AR, Lila & Gerald Brewer, Donna & Larry Lay; brother & sister in law, David & Linda Spurgin all of Mena, AR; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Phil McGehee officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau.
