John McHugh passed away on April 5, 2026, at his home in Pocola, Oklahoma at the age of 72. John was born on November 25,1953, in Aspen, Colorado to Thomas and Eleanor (Newbury) McHugh. John was a wrestler in his younger years and loved snow skiing. John’s favorite spots were in Aspen, Colorado, along the Colorado River.
John was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Bob McHugh.
John is survived by his wife, Roxie of the home; children, Patrick Cass and wife Cyrilla of Durango, Colorado and Nicole Hughes of Wellington, Colorado; one brother, Tom McHugh of Colby, Kansas; a nephew, Josh McHugh of Grand Junction, Colorado and one grandson Myles Riley Cass along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who will cherish his memory.
The Celebration of Life Services for John will be held privately, by his close family, at one of his favorite spots along the Colorado River.
