Jose Luis Garcia of Heavener, Oklahoma was born April 5, 1952 in Nueces County, Texas to Jose Angel Garcia and Osbelia Garcia (Hinojosa) and passed away on July 10, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 71.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jose Angel Garcia and Osbelia Garcia Hinojosa; and a brother, Juan Angel Garcia.
Jose was a longtime resident of the area. He was a member of the Freedom House Fellowship Church and a retired truck driver. Jose loved maps, reading the Atlas Book, and the Bible. He knew every state and roads. He really enjoyed being in the outdoors. Jose cared so much for his family and loved spending time with them and his friends. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Jose will be missed by all who knew him.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, July 17, 2023 at Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel in Heavener, Oklahoma with Brother Sam Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday and 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
