Joy Ellen Day of Summerfield, Oklahoma was born November 25, 1940 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to J.J. and Ellen Arline (Ridgeway) Mosshammer and passed away on June 18, 2018 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 77.
She is survived by:
Two daughters:
Deborah Sue Rettig and husband Ronald of Keller, Texas
Janet Day Robinett of Summerfield, Oklahoma
One brother:
James Mosshammer
Seven grandchildren including William H. Day of the home
Nine great-grandchildren
Numerous loved ones and friends
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Glen English; her husband of 39 years, Jimmy L. Day; and one daughter, Nancy Day.
Joy was a long-time resident of the area, a member of the Heart O’ The Hills Baptist Church, and an active member of the community.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 22, 2018 at the Heart O’ The Baptist Church with Brother David Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in Summerfield Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Viewing will be from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday and 8:30 a.m. until noon, Friday.
