Graveside Service for Joy Harp, 66 of Shady Point, Oklahoma will be at 1pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Oakland Cemetery Pavilion in Poteau, Oklahoma with Reverend Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
Joy was born on May 28, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas to Carole (McNeill) Brown and Kenneth Brown and passed away on August 19, 2022 in Shady Point, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Harp; father, Kenneth Brown; brother, Jeff Brown. Joy loved to spend her free time writing poems and drawing. She worked in housekeeping at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center and Best Western.
Survivors include: son, Danny Harp; mother, Carole McNeill; sisters, Caren, Debbie, and Julie; mother in-law, Iva Harp; sister in-law, Susan Harp.
