Funeral Service for Katherine Elizabeth Benge, 92 of Spiro, Oklahoma will be at 11:00am on Monday, November 15, 2021 at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Spiro, Oklahoma with Pastor Will Harmon officiating. Services are under the direction of Mallory-Martin Funeral Home of Spiro, Oklahoma.
Katherine was born on April 28, 1929 in Fort Smith, Arkansas to Ella (Loyd) Parker and Elmer Eugene Parker and passed away on November 9, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was married to Jack Riddle Benge on October 14, 1948 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Ella Parker; her husband, Jack Benge; granddaughter, Katey Stephens Cox; great-great grandson, Leo Rigler; son-in-law, Malcolm Stephens; brothers, Bobby Parker and Elmer L. Parker; and her sister, Ella Faye Irvin.
Survivors include her two daughters, Debbie Franklin and husband Ken, Carla Stephens; grandchildren, Jay Franklin and wife Carrie, Jacqui Rigler and husband Darrin, Ryan Franklin and wife Angie, Brookin Stephens and wife Crissy; grandson-in-law, Chad Cox; great grandchildren, Michayla Franklin and Chad Krifa, Parker Rigler and wife Maggie, Price Rigler, Logan Franklin and fiancé Brooke, Kohl Franklin, Kaylin Franklin and Konner Uselton, Payton Rigler, Teegan Franklin, Kaemyn Franklin, Casen Franklin, Emma Stephens, Sam Stephens, Judge Stephens, Olivia Cox; great great grandchildren, Hayes and Aulora, numerous other relatives and loved ones.
Katherine was a devout Christian and attended Cavanagh Church in Ft. Smith. She loved cooking, collecting recipes, and reading cookbooks. She enjoyed working in her flower beds. Above all, Katherine’s heart belonged to her family.
Pallbearers will be Parker Rigler, Price Rigler, Kohl Franklin, Kaemyn Franklin, Logan Franklin, Konner Uselton, and Chad Krifa.
Viewing will be Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 12:00pm- 4:00pm at the funeral home.
