Born August 25, 1926 in Poteau Oklahoma grew up in a time when hard work wasn’t a choice but a way of life. She embraced farming and tractor life as both her livelihood and her calling. She worked quietly with determination to mend her land, house, tractors, car and four wheeler as through they were part of her family.
Neighbors and friends often marveled at her independence, whether driving her tractor mower, four wheeler or car she did it herself, Her home was not only a place she worked to care for but her home was was a place of welcome and loved company to check in, visit, have a meal or tell a story.
Beyond her home and things, Kathleen enjoyed simple joys; the beauty of the sunrise, the satisfaction of a good meal, the love of her family and Poteau and her FOX News. She lived her life with dignity, resilience and serving as an example of perseverance to everyone she knew and knew her.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter Sharon Geyer; her son Rickey Hale; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren, 1 nephew, and 2 nieces.
