Larry Ray Kirkland, 69, of Shady Point, OK passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at his home. Larry was born August 19, 1951 in Sulphur, OK to Raymond & Dorothy (Harris) Kirkland. He was a cattle rancher; he loved fishing, hunting, gardening and carpentry. He was retired from Whirlpool after 24 years. Larry was a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Army. He was a member of Calhoun Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Ray Kirkland and brother, Richard Kirkland.
Survivors include his wife, Janet Kirkland of the home; daughters, Crystal Restine of Bokoshe, OK, Raneka Covey of Shady Point, OK; grandchildren, Wade Restine Dylan Restine, Jaylin Covey and Gracie Covey; mother, Dorothy Kirkland Griffith; brother, James Kirkland of Washington state; sisters, Judy Kirkland of Shady Point, OK, Jeanette Baxter of Poteau, OK, Amanda Grogan of Mississippi; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 2 pm, Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Calhoun Baptist Church with Steve Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Panama, OK. Pallbearers will be Jackie Harris, Daniel Harrison, Tyler Cagle, Danny Baxter, Kirk Reed, Greg Grogan and Wendell Giles.
The family will be at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
