Larry Ray Masterson, 72, of Pocola, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2025. He was born on January 23, 1953, in Spiro, Oklahoma, to Betty (Woods) Masterson and Raymond Masterson.
Larry was a man who lived life with purpose and passion. A lifelong outdoorsman, he found joy in hunting, fishing, and working with his hands. He was also an avid sports fan who proudly supported the Oklahoma Sooners and the OKC Thunder. But nothing brought Larry more happiness than spending time with his family, especially cheering on his grandchildren at their games.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Raymond Masterson; sisters Treasa Griffin and Barbara Pettigrew; his daughter Tracy Lynn; and his grandson Kalob Masterson.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah Kay Masterson; children Shawn Masterson and wife Neisha, Jamie Masterson and wife Gwen, and Trina Renfrow and husband William. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Cory Masterson, Kodee Gullick, Garret Gullick and wife Josie, Keith Renfrow, Alexis Masterson, Konner Masterson and wife Emily, Shakyran Gladness, Kolby Masterson, Mahiya Masterson, Brooklyn Masterson, and Hailee Masterson; and five adored great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings: Betty Owens, Kathy Coffey, Priscilla Lovett and husband Mark, Helen Pettigrew and husband Larry, Janice Parker, Jimmy Masterson and wife Treasa, and Brian Masterson and wife Deadrea.
Celebration of Life for Larry Ray Masterson will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 6, 2025 at Spiro First Baptist Church in Spiro, Oklahoma.
