Lela “Ann” A. Lowrimore, 82, passed away on November 12, 2025, at her home in Panama, Oklahoma surrounded by her family. Ann was born on January 17, 1943, in Shady Point, Oklahoma to parents Rev. Harrell and Ora (Fout) Bates. Ann met her sweetheart Bill while in high school and they were married in August of 1962. She was a beautician for several years before training in business to work in administration at Eastern Oklahoma Medical Center, where she worked for many years. After leaving EOMC, she worked at Denimdays Daycare, where she thoroughly enjoyed loving and caring for children. She was an active member at Victory Worship Center in Spiro, Oklahoma. Her hobbies included shopping, planting flowers, and a loved for music. She played the piano and organ for many years in church and was a member of the women’s quartet. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Harrell and Ora Bates.
Ann is survived by her husband Bill of the home, her children Shelly Caldwell of Poteau, Oklahoma, Todd Lowrimore and wife Jerri of Panama, Oklahoma, and Lori Hambrick and husband Rob of Poteau, Oklahoma, her grandchildren Ledger Lowrimore, Traci Lowrimore, Blake Roley, Michayla Hambrick, Callie Hambrick, and Leo Caldwell, her great grandchildren Quintin Lowrimore and Xzavier Jones, and her brothers Jack Bates and wife Saundra of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Joe Bates and wife Melissa of Tulsa, Oklahoma, along with many other relatives and loved ones.
The Celebration of Life Services for Ann will be held 11am – Monday, November 17, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma with Brother Bryan Fouts officiating and family meal to follow in the Cedars Celebration Room. The Family of Ann Lowrimore will greet friends from 2pm – 4pm on Sunday, November 16, 2025, also at The Cedars on Dewey. Casket bearers will be Ledger, Blake, Bryan, and Leo.
