Leroy Millard Jr., of Poteau, Oklahoma, passed away on November 19, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on March 8, 1948, in Des Moines, Iowa, to parents Leroy Millard Sr. and Evelyn (Pinegar) Millard. Leroy was a jack of all trades. He was in the rental housing industry, working as a handyman and loved every chance that he got to engineer and building things. He loved to help people, but most of all, he loved his family and spending time with them. Leroy was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Alice Millard, his daughter Teresa Millard, and his son Timothy Lee Millard.
Leroy is survived by his sons Leroy Millard III and wife Cherie of Poteau, Oklahoma, and Thomas James Millard of Las Vegas, Nevada, his sisters Beverly Lemon and husband Dennis of Des Moines, Iowa and Donna Gillaspy and husband Bill of Ankeny, Iowa, his grandchildren Amber Millard, Heather Estell, Makayla Millard, Leroy Millard IV, Zack Millard, Devin Millard, Jada Bledsoe, Dakota Norton, Joel Stanglin, Aaron Millard, TJ Millard, and his numerous great grandchildren, along with many other relatives and loved ones.
The Celebration of Life Services for LeRoy will be held 1pm – Monday, December 1, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Avenue Poteau, Oklahoma with Pastor Nick Hess officiating and burial to follow at Greenhill Cemetery in Cameron, Oklahoma. The Family of LeRoy Millard Jr will greet friends from 2pm – 4pm on Sunday, November 30, 2025, also at The Cedars on Dewey. Casket bearers will be Leroy Millard III, Zack Millard, Connor Estell, Chance Couch, Dakota Norton, and Jada Bledsoe.
