Lessie May (Massengale) Morrow of Heavener, Oklahoma was born May 18, 1934 in Adams Diggings, New Mexico to Charles and Alta (Permenter) Massengale and passed away September 9, 2019 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 85.

 

She is survived by:

Her husband:
Richard “Dick” Morrow of the home

One daughter:
Lynn Stallings and husband Jimmy of Heavener, Oklahoma

One son:
Richard Morrow and wife Marianne

Two sisters:
Varna Lamance of New Mexico
Dal Carraway of New Mexico

Four grandchildren:
Corey Stallings and wife Amanda
Carrie Alexander and husband Dusty
Ashley Walker and husband Jacob
Brittany Pinkerton and husband Cody

12 great-grandchildren:
Dillan Stallings and wife Kalee, Justin Stallings, Veronica Stallings, Connor Stallings, McKenna Stallings, Megan Alexander, Morgan Alexander, Melayna Alexander, Tristan Alexander, Keagan Walker, Jace Walker, and Hadlee Pinkerton

Two great-great-grandchildren:
Natalee Stallings and Valeree Stallings

Numerous loved ones and a host of many friends

 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Garland Massengale.

 

Lessie attended Forrester Baptist Church.

 

She worked at Stuckeys in Grants, New Mexico for 15 years and then at Jame’s Grocery in Waldron for 24 years.

 

She worked in public service a total of 67 years. Lessie loved to bowl, watch sports, and follow her grandkids around watching them play ball. She was an avid Tiger Woods and Razorback fan. Lessie will be deeply missed by many whom loved and knew her.

 

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 13, 2019 at Forrester Baptist Church with Reverend Mike Steelman and Reverend Mark Cook officiating.

 

Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

 

Pallbearers will be: Justin Stallings, Jacob Walker, Cody Pinkerton, Ron Williams, Corey Stallings, Travis Cook, and Dusty Alexander

 

Viewing will be from noon until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday.
