Linda (Parrish) Vinson of Heavener, Oklahoma was born on July 31, 1949 at the hospital in Heavener, Oklahoma to Junior and Wanda (Nobles) Parrish. She passed from this life on Monday, October 2, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 68.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Junior and Wanda Parrish; one sister, Judy Janway.
Linda was raised in the Mount Pleasant community with her closest neighbors being her grandparents: paternal grandmother, Lizzie Parrish and maternal grandparents, Charlie and Iris Nobles. Linda lived her entire life in Heavener, Oklahoma.
She was a 1967 graduate of Heavener High School.
She continued her education where she acquired her Associate of Science degree from Carl Albert State College. Linda raised two children and enjoyed a 50-year marriage with the love of her life. She loved the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and their friends. Many of the friends considered her as a second mom and she treasured that.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, October 5, 2017 at Heavener First Baptist Church in Heavener, Oklahoma with Reverend Byron Vinson officiating.
Burial will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Brian Dameron, Keelan Dameron, Jarrod Collins, Britt Reaves, Stan Cagle, Jim Tiffee, Tony Parker, and Michael White.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Dick Brown and Don Frost.
Viewing will be from 8:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday and 8:00 a.m. until noon, Thursday.
The family will be visiting with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
