Lissie Jane McClain of Heavener, Oklahoma was born November 13, 1936 in Springdale, Arkansas to Lee and Margie Emma (Dougherty) Sizemore and passed away on July 12, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 84.

She is survived by:

Three sons:

Dwain McClain and wife Helen of Jackson, Mississippi

David McClain of Heavener, Oklahoma

Rodney McClain and wife Nita of Heavener, Oklahoma

Four sisters:

Helen Whittle of Huntsville, Arkansas

Sharline Doyle and husband Art of Ceres, California

Edith Usrey of Ceres, California

Elea Mae McClain and husband Ed of Coaldale, Arkansas

Two brothers:

Eugene Sizemore and wife Phyllis of Sonora, Arkansas

Gerry Sizemore and wife Judy of Gravett, Arkansas

Two sisters-in law:

Christine Gregory of Howe, Oklahoma

Roberta Sizemore of Knob Hill, Arkansas

One brother-in-law:

Jerry McClain of Vacaville, California

8 grandchildren

17 great-grandchildren

1 great-great-grandson on the way

Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and a host of friends

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merle McClain; a daughter-in-law, Nancy McClain; one daughter, Barbara Jane McClain; one brother, Willie Sizemore; and one sister, Annis Baker.

Lissie was a long-time resident of the area, a homemaker, and a member of Coaldale Baptist Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She also loved doing arts and crafts. Lissie enjoyed doing yard ornaments, needle point sewing, cooking, and canning. She will be missed dearly.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 16, 2021 at the Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Joe Ray officiating. Interment will follow in Heavener Memorial Park under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.

Pallbearers will be: Her grandsons

Viewing will be from Noon until 6:00 p.m., Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m., Thursday.

The family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
