Graveside Service for Loretta Sue Steele, 83 of Pocola, Oklahoma will be at 2:30 PM on Monday, April 3, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas with Jeff Breshears officiating. Services are under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola, Oklahoma.

Loretta was born on August 2, 1939 in Exeter, Missouri to Nora A. (Eden) Neighbors and William B. Neighbors and passed away on March 28, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 61 years, Walter Gene Steele; siblings, Martha Ginn, Mary Clements, Opal Spencer, Mildred Peak, Larry Neighbors, Billie Nolan, Donna Turnipseed, and Bruce Neighbors. Loretta was an Art Teacher in Poteau, Oklahoma for 30 years, and a member of Crawford County Center of Art and Education. She taught Sunday School while she was living at Chapel Ridge. She was also a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Pocola, Oklahoma.

Survivors include her children, Mitchell Steele, Rocky Steele and wife Sharon, Misty Steele-Dunn and husband James Dunn, Barbie Chronister; grandchildren, Nikki Woodrome, Chad Steele, Cassie Sharum, Patrick Steele, Dusty Steele, Hogan Dunn, Seth Dunn, Sydney Chronister; great grandchildren, Zak Sharp, Addie Woodrome, Mason Steele, Eli Sharum, Dawson Steele, Allie Sharum, and Drake Steele; sister, Pauline Roberts; daughter-in-law, Cindy Steele.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Zak Sharp, Chad Steele, Dusty Steele, Patrick Steele, Hogan Dunn, and Seth Dunn.

Visitation will be Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Pocola, Oklahoma.
