Lynn Edward Lockhart, 84, of Poteau, OK passed away Saturday, August 29, 2020 in Ft. Smith, AR. Lynn was born January 8, 1936 in Zoe, OK to Albert & Anna (Metcalf) Lockhart. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, where he served as a communications engineer. He was preceded in death by his parents and 6 siblings, Geraldine McGee, Grady, Travis & Loren Lockhart, Patsy Gibson.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Anita (Wynn) Lockhart; children, Michael Edward Lockhart & wife Pamela, Mark Allen Lockhart & Tamara Mae Lockhart; grandchildren, Michael Gabriel Lockhart, Melissa Hinson, Marvin Ray Trout, Jr., Danielle Lockhart, Tyler Lockhart & wife Merritt Boyce, Arielle Bailey, Edward Lockhart, Anita Lynette Lockhart; great grandchildren, Gabriella Lockhart, Gavin Lockhart, Dominic Bailey, Olan Lockhart, Ember Lockhart, Wayne Jr. Hinson; other relatives, loved ones and friends.
Services will be 10 am, Thursday, September 3, 2020 at Trinity Baptist Church, Poteau with Leroy Billy & Roger Mattox officiating. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Poteau, OK. Pallbearers will be Gary & David Gibson, Gary Hall, Russ & Bart Seymore. The family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
