Manuel Lee Battles of Panama, Oklahoma was born on April 27, 1936 in Walls, Oklahoma to Homer and Ruthie Viola (Andrews) Battles and passed away September 21, 2025 in Panama, Oklahoma at the age of 89.

 

He is survived by:

 

Four daughters:

Pam Battles, Donna Davies, Tina Morgan, and Mary Waters

 

Two sons:

Randy Battles and Terry Thompson

 

Nine grandchildren:

Jesse Green, Krystal Jordan, Matthew Battles and wife Christina, Tiffany Battles, Cody Powell and wife Jennifer, Courtney Powell, Sonny Battles, Kurtis Davies, and Kristopher Davies

 

Eight great-grandchildren:

Brooklyn Jordan and Emiliano Gonzalez, Tristan Jordan, Max Battles, Jacilyn Hearton, Brian Battles, Alaska Powell, Eleanor Powell, and Brentlee Powell

 

Five great-great-grandchildren:

Alora Davies, Fenley Davies, Teddy Davies, Kaiden Davies, and Kora Davies

 

Numerous other loved ones and a multitude of friends

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Ruthie Battles; and his wife, Nancy Battles.

Manuel, a cherished longtime resident of the area, was a retired Construction Superintendent for APAC Construction. He had a passion for spending quality time with his beloved family and friends and found joy in the great outdoors. His presence will be profoundly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

 

 

Manuel’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center Chapel in Poteau, Oklahoma with Pastor Elmer Bowden and Pastor Rick Gooden officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Cremation Center of Poteau, Oklahoma. “LeFlore County’s Only On-Site Crematory”
