Marianne Woods Young returned to her Heavenly Father on April 30, 2023. She was born in Chicago, Illinois on June 25, 1928 and spent her youth in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She was a resident of Shreveport, Louisiana for 40 years and enjoyed her retirement in Shady Point, Oklahoma. Marianne was a beautiful, creative and loving wife, mother and grandmother whose love will be missed by all who knew her and may be comforted by the belief that she is at peace in her heavenly home.
Marianne was preceded in death by her father Walter Woods, her mother Helen Hubbard Woods Bergeron, her husband Aubrey Young and her daughter Patricia New Ogden. She is survived by her children, Aubrey "Bud" Young and his wife Monica, Annette Young Davis and her husband Mark, Alan Young and Alanie Young, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
A memorial mass will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Shreveport, Louisiana on May 13, 2023.
Visitation will begin at noon and the mass will begin at 1:00 pm.
Cremation is under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
